OK, noise on highway has been getting gradually worse, now really loud. Not noticeable around town, up to around 45. 50-65mph, getting really loud. Sounds like CVT to me....car has a little over 300,000 miles on it. Not the rear wheel bearings, already replaced those. Any suggestions?

The RE-92s are NOTORIOUS for delaminating. They will give you a sound like the one you described. How do I know? I've lost count of how many I've lost to delamination.

You can check visually by jacking them up and spinning them. The bump in the tread should be obvious.

If they are not RE-92s, well, then, good luck?

A guy replaced the cheap bearing(s) for me that went out around 130,000 miles on the CVT. It's got a little over 304,000 miles on it now...kind of hoping this noise is something else. A demalinated tire would be nice!
