OK, noise on highway has been getting gradually worse, now really loud. Not noticeable around town, up to around 45. 50-65mph, getting really loud. Sounds like CVT to me....car has a little over 300,000 miles on it. Not the rear wheel bearings, already replaced those. Any suggestions?

Need a video of the noise.
Not front or rear wheel bearings, my mechanic checked it over while changing oil/filter a couple days ago. They're not hearing the noise, but they're just driving around town, not on the highway. Will have tires checked out Monday...thanks for the idea.

The RE-92s are NOTORIOUS for delaminating. They will give you a sound like the one you described. How do I know? I've lost count of how many I've lost to delamination.
You can check visually by jacking them up and spinning them. The bump in the tread should be obvious.
If they are not RE-92s, well, then, good luck?

We'll check it, but I think I replaced it about 50,000 miles ago...
