I purchased an 06 MT Insight this past March and I now have about 6000 miles on the odometer. Although service is not required until 7500 miles, my maintenance required light flashes when I start the car.
Is the maintenance required light actuated by the odometer or is the actuation time based? Since I have had the car for a little over 6 months but I only have 6000 miles I am assuming it is time actuated.

The light starts blinking at 6000 miles so you know you’re getting close and you can start saving for the trip to the steelership. At 7500 miles it stays on. Its on page 47 of the manual.

I just reset mine when it comes on and change the oil when I am suppose to.
