Hi there i have a 2010 Honda Insight.
I just had a B23 on 180.000 KM and had it done.
Now i checked my Maintenance thing on the display and it says 10.000KM for next one, instead of 20.000.
Is there a reason for this.
It always had his maintenance done by a Honda dealer.
At 160.000 a big one and at 170.000 again.
If i remember correct the front brakes and cvt fluid oil filter interior filter engine filter spark plugs etc was replaced at 170.000.

Now to think of it my Honda says after 160.000KM every 10.000KM maintenance instead of the 20.000 KM.

Is there any reason for this.
Can it be that the Honda dealer would change the intervals of it.

Oh BTW the maintenance intervals was like this before:

100.000
120.000
140.000
160.000
Still same country and conditions

What code is it displaying for the next service?

The SVRS system keeps track of items (as per the service codes like B23, which is Inspection, cabin filter + check auxillary belt and CVT fluid change if I recall correctly) individually and only combines them if they are due within the next 60 days.

The only truly variable code is A - oil changes. These can be anything from about 10,000 km to 25,000 km or so). Everything else is on set intervals of a given distance or time.

9 in 9750 KM no A or B just 9.

Btw is it possible that i remove the engine and battery at the back and front.
Place a electric engine in the rear place flat battery's under the floor.
And some in the front.
A tesla like engine and battery design.
Change the suspension so that it can handle more weight.
I was planning to buy a electric car (amsterdam.
But if i can make my insight electric under 20.000 Euro it would be great.
Or make it more efficient (Maybe a plug in Hybrid.

And a other question.
Can i place a digital speed gauge.
So instead of the RPM\Fuel\Etc a full screen with navigation fuel lvl and other options.
Replacing the speed gauge with a more informative screen (Navigation and speed.
Instead of speed only.

Would this cost to much electricity or is it possible.
Thanks in advance ^~^

A 2-year delayed reply to this... But I got the same number on my display and I researched it. Maintenance code 9 refers to a valve clearance check (intake 0.15mm to 0.19mm), exhaust (0.24mm - 0.28mm). Time to get my feelers out.

There would appear to be a different set of extended codes for EU based cars versus NA cars. The codes for EU are:

1 and 2 are the same

3: Replace CVT fluid (not a separate icon)
4: Replace fuel filter, sparks, check idle speed
5: Replace engine coolant
7: Replace brake fluid
8: Replace air filter
9: Inspect valve clearance

Hope this helps someone else.
