I watched Doug DeMuro drive a Gen 1 and it had a switch that could manually apply 100% battery boost. This seems interesting and something fun to fiddle with, like I have a long hill climb every morning. Is this a fairly easy mod? Just a switch to a couple specific wires? Any diagrams or instructions out there? 06 CVT

The simple answer is no it isn't just a couple of wires and a switch.

The simplest and cheaper mod the IMA Boost device is four wires and a microprocessor with a button and some pots.

The most flexible and more expensive option for full IMA control is IMAC&C P&P

They are both well described on here in various threads.
PM me with your e-mail address for full details.

Or buy a used MIMA system. They were over $1,000 when new and they are not produced anymore
Do you have that kind of cash to put into it?
If so, let me know, I have a few available.

Alternatively, if you are good with electronics and programming, it's not too difficult to make a device that modifies the signals back in the IMA compartment to give you whatever level of assist/regen you want. All the information you need has been documented on these forums in various threads; you can find it with Google search in the upper-left if you're so inclined.
