@mudder I recall this thread and your reversing of the circuit to determine how it was doing voltage measurement. Did you note how the car was detecting whether the HV pack remained isolated from the LV system?

@eprom

For updating your schematic:

I removed C42 from a 1k000-phm-070 and it measured 495 pF in my capacitor meter which makes me think it is a 470 pF part. I was wondering if, in the schematic, this was smoothing the current inputs but instead it looks like it's just for emi reduction (unless I toasted the part while removing it).

C42, C43 and C44 are probably the same.

I appreciate you working out the high voltage pack input in particular. I was not relishing creating the appropriate high voltage signal at that input for my LTO conversion. I plan to feed the MCM's ADC the appropriate low voltage equivalent directly. I have a feeling that this input also monitors whether or not the pack remains isolated from the chassis or 12V, which is another function I wish to maintain for my LTO conversion.

Perhaps the TA8903SN is has a supervisory function perhaps holding the CPU in reset until the power supplies have come online?

On what side of D31 are the filter capacitors? Perhaps the TA8903SN it senses the loss of power and issues the NMI and the diode keeps the filter caps from discharging back into the rest of the (shut off) supply circuit???

This might be one of those things that a Saleae Pro 16 (which has 16 channels that can be digital or analog up to 10 or so volts) would answer. They are expensive, but you can get a very significant enthusiasts discount if you don't use them for work for a year. I use mine for my High Resolution ECU Signal Monitor in my thread Sorting out a Citrus. Sixteen analog or digital channels make fast work of problems like this. Saleae Discounts

EDIT: apparently it is a Power Supervisor IC. But the links in the post that refers to it as such are dead. Wish I had kept all those old databooks. Odd electrical issue fuel pump doen't prime - Honda-Tech - Honda Forum Discussion
