I was just told that the dealer I've been going to is no longer the best place to have my Insight serviced. I need and oil change soon so I called another dealer that screwed up my wheel covers, in the past but is supposed to be under new service management. The original dealer charges $35 for a 0W-20 oil change. When I called the 2nd dealer they said it would be like $50. When I asked why the difference, I was told that Honda recommends synthetic oil for my car. They said the other dealer is probably using a mixed blend and they don't recommend it. I would like some feedback. The car's been doing fine so far. Does 0W-20 even come in a "mixed blend" version?

Your car only uses 2.5 L of engine oil so don't let them charge you the standard oil change rate because most cars require twice the amount of oil. Best solution is to buy your own oil and filter, if you don't want to change the oil yourself then just pay someone you trust only for labour.
