Has anyone been able to find this oil? I've heard that it's at Wal-Mart but I haven't found it in my area (Cape Cod). I'm due for an oil change and would like to switch to synthetic...

To answer Tim's question from a rather useless UK perspective, the oil is not yet on the Mobil website and when I e-mailed them with a query on stock availability in the UK they did not reply.

However, on a related point I took my Insight to a Honda dealership (for the first service since I have owned it) for its 18,000 mile service. I specifically mentioned 0W-20 oil to the service manager before the service and he assured me that they would put the right oil in.

£170 later ($267) for literally an oil change and a checkover and I found on the invoice that they have put 'Mobil Super S' in my Insight. After checking the Internet when I got home I am reasonably sure that this is a 5W-40 oil. Should I be concerned?

I have bought the Mobile 1 0W-20 at Walmart. Perhaps the store in your area hasn't restocked lately.

Christian, The 40 weight oil will likely lower your fuel economy. At the price they charged you I think I would look into doing my own oil changes. Have fun, Rick

Since I had my oil changes (3000 miles ago) I have noticed a drop in MPG of 4. I requested they use 0W20 and they said they did, but I am not so sure. My lifetime ,ilage went from 52.4 down to 51.7. My per tank average has dropped as well. It may be due to the extra use of the AC, but around town I am down to around 37 MPG. It's getting frustrating.

I have occasionally found Mobil One 0-20W at Walmart.

In collage, I heard someone at the airport put aircraft oil into his car. It was 90W and his car would not crank!

I looked last Friday and found Mobile 1 0W20 at Walmart. It was over $4 per qt. Bought the ramp extensions at the same time.

Mobile 1 0W 20

Today I went by WalMart and Costco looking for a case of Mobile 1 0W 20.
Neither had any  but on the way there I had another silver Insight come up behind me, we ran together for about 10 miles. I stopped by my local Advance Auto and asked if they could order a case of 0W 20, and the manager said they had just gotten some in. :D So I purchased a case and two Puralator filters.

Ask for the empty 0w20 bottles to be returned to you.

I buy the Mobil1 0w-20 here in San Diego. I've only found it at one of the many Wal-Marts in the San Diego area (down by the border). Anyway, not all carry it, but some in your area may.

And the half full one! It only takes about 2 1/2 quarts, but the unknowing oil changer might just go ahead and dump in all three bottles.

:)
Very true. I used my leftover .5qt for my lawnmower  It was a little low.
