Since there isn't a moderation forum, I will post this here. Moderators, do what you will with the topic...

But I have a simple request. I mod over at RX-7 Forum, and whenever we lock/move a topic, we provide a reason when we do so. Is there any way that could become standard practice over here? I have noticed that my Prius topic is locked. While I understand the necessity, it would be nice to have a simple reason like "Topic too far off topic". I have had other threads locked as well, without a reason being posted.

Sorry, I usually try to make a note of such things but sometimes it slips my mind. That topic (and this one) were locked for being off-topic. I would have locked that topic sooner but the discussion of "where do the IMA parts come from" had some value. Once that subject wound up, there was nothing still being discussed except Prius v.s. Insight remarks, which aren't in the spirit of "We would prefer that the forum be a place for showing off our cars, not bashing other ones" as noted on the front page.
