I am new to the H. Insight thing. Had 2001 CVT for about a month now, 220,000 miles on the odometer.

Maybe, anywhere from 5-25 precent of the time, essentially only at a standstill, only, the car's motor shutters in a not so hot way when you give it gas.

Once, it nearly died... rpms dropped crazy low.

IT DOES NOT SEEM TO RELATE TO cold or warm starts. NO ENGINE/IDIOT LIGHTS. IMA seems to work just fine.

It only happens when coming out of a complete stop; stop sign, redlight, parking lot(back and forths).

This could be what? Product of age, the CVT transmission, the throttle body, motor bearings worn out, 12V battery somehow, or what? Please help me with ideas and solutions.
