You guys are right. As long as your rear windshield is clean, and definitely if it's been RainX'd, no water drops will build up there, they just fall away.
I noticed that while driving through rain, the rear windshield was nearly all clear, while the little rear/vertical window (a la CRX) was covered in droplets. (dead air there)
