After a 9 month pregnancy, my garage gave birth on Tuesday to a 1870 pound baby named MYBRID.

After the discussion here, I ended up having all new panels painted silver. Even without blending the old paint, you wouldn't see the difference. Except that the new parts are clean

The car runs just as it used to, the first drive to work was an almost Zen-like experience! I am so glad to get rid of the 45 mpg gas-guzzler I was driving while the Insight was disabled!

I will have the alignment checked, just to be sure. But mpg performance is right on the mark with pre-accident data, so it couldn't be off too far.

If I ever find the time I will post some pictures of the rebuilding process.

Yes, it works (all but Crash2), Thanks a lot.

Great pictures! I am sorry you and your car experienced this. Outch.

But it is a job well done, excellent.

So the plastic parts come unpainted. Next spring, I 'll try to check the area where there is trash accumulating. It is surely bad to keep humidity on the aluminum

Congradulations! Thanks for the great baby pictures. :D

I had a lot of dirt build up there too, which I found when doing some wiring.

MYBRID

Thanks for the pix! Every time I wash the car (not as often as I should), I take the nozzle off the hose and stick the hose up inside the fender from underneath to wash out all the crud. Glad you got it put back together!

No pictures?

I'm getting a "connection refused" error on port 8000.

Of course, it could be my office firewall, which blocks the oddest things sometimes. :?:
