True but then where would the shoebox sub fit? hehe. I guess it's a matter of wasted space. I thought about getting a standard subwoofer and enclosure but the thought of wasting that space that the computer goes in just gets to me, that's why I'm getting the super shoebox sub that fits in there, at least it's not wasted space, I hate wasted space, hehe.
I do agree a navigation system would be great, but at least we found a way to make use of the space. If you didn't get a sub, I was thinking of other things you can "hide" in there.
I was considering making a custom computer case that would hold a small motherboard, hard drive, etc. And it would fit in that space. Then you can run a small LCD, maybe even touch screen, in the front of the car. The computer could play mp3's/wma's, dvd's, you could install GPS mapping software on it and add a gps receiver to it, you could install a normal mapping software on it, anything you can think of that a computer can do. Would be handy to have up front. If you didn't get a touch screen you could get a tiny lcd screen, like 4" to 10" and also a wireless keyboard and mouse. You'd generally want your passenger to handle using the keyboard/mouse unless your stopped, but it's a nice thought.

I have a Magellan NAV750 and love it (used in the SUV), and it has the option of a cradle (mounted in the cdchanger area maybe), to swap into cars back and forth, but Id have to check room for the mount, and then the cost, who knows. Another antenna, power harness and mounting stand. Its a nice unit, handy, just need the ROM update.
