Hello , I have this SB 989 with a burnt resistor to the point I cannot read the color code. Does anyone have a SB that they could open and tell me what this resistor looks like. The resistor appears to be the only issue, the SB 989 functions regularly with no errors, however it will not charge faster than .03A. I would like to replace this resistor and see if it fixes it. A burned resistor might indicate other problems also. I am getting ready for Mid-Atlantic Meet right now and cannot check it, but will look for you next week. PM me if I forget.

OK, I read it and it makes no sense to me at all, so I'll just relate the colors:

blue
gray
gold
gold
green

I double and triple checked the various decoders and non of them have gold in the third spot. Beats me. For that matter, there are several other resistors with identical marking, ex. RS8 & RS9 nearby.

@Harperapptec: Hi, I think you should double check the wiring to find out the reason of burning of resistor because usually it occurs due to excessive current flow and this time it damaged the resistance and may be next time it will damage the SB 989, so be careful.
