I like the idea. Interesting the extra mass is easy to counter and produce more output than it takes. I hope they take this a step further to incorporate it for use with e85 and pump gas.

Honda had a variable compression engine, but it used like different sized cylinders and the engine used the VCM through the VTEC system to switch them off and on as needed, but either way you had a few cylinders that were inactive.
