A nose cone would not improve the aerodynamics of the Insight at subsonic speeds. The leading surface of an object should be roughly hemispherical to have a minimum of drag at subsonic speeds. A nose cone would probrably reduce drag at supersonic speeds.

haa...I'm picturing the old "Superbird" here....

but in addition, like the "Superbird", we also need the high-top spoiler to keep the car on the road

But seriously....wouldn't the weight of a nose cone defeat the purpose of mpg gain? You are talking about a full frontal right?
