I notice a lot of you have the "number" of your Insight (number produced?) in your sig. How do you know this number, and how can the rest of us find out what ours is?

(If this is stupidly obvious, someone feel free to give me a kick)

It's the last 4 digits of your VIN number.

Then mine is 225...and it's a 2001. That doesn't seem right... or is it just the 225th in 2001?

Um.....the last FOUR digits of your VIN, not three.

Actually its the last 6 of the VIN that is the serial production number. In all Insight's digits 5 & 6 will be zero and therefore not significant.

Right Resist, my last four are 0225, the last six are 000225....

It sounds like you have a 2000 maybe. It seems I have seen a thread on Insight Central that had all the serial numbers posted by year produced. My 2000 is #0562.

The year is the 10th digit of the VIN

Y=2000
1=2001
2=2002
3=2003


You can figure out the other years from there.
