Hey! It's that time of year again: Canadian International AutoShow!

I haven't made it the last few years, and this year I'm going comehellorhighwater. :D

Any Ontario/US border Insight drivers who are interested in attending en mass, speak up so we can choose a day between February 13 and 22 that is convenient for as many of us as possible. Adult admission on weekends is $18 (CDN).

Call me nuts, but I think it'd be fun for 6-10 of us to show up at Honda's booth and announce that we all bought Insights :)

And demand to know when the IMAS is being put into production! :D

Sounds like a plan. I'm actually organizing a meet at the NAIAS (Detroit show) this weekend for RX-7 owners. So hopefully the two shows won't repeat each other...I do plan to stop at the Honda booth and mention the Insight in Detroit as well.

well Opal just mention the date ... and we'll take it from there
As I said in my original message, we'll choose a date that's convenient for a majority of us. Since this posting isn't yet a week old, choosing a firm date is a bit premature at the moment: I'm sure a few more locals will come out of the woodwork :)

Right?!? :D

Saturday Feb 14/21 is out for me - I teach a college class on Saturday mornings. Lucky me.

I'd say Feb 15 or 22 is the best bet.

Comments? Concerns? Counter-offers?

I just got back from a 2 week vacation exploring Cuba.
I'll join you guys for sure, next week i'll have a better idea on a prefered date.
I'll keep my eyes open for coupons so we can pay a little less for admission.

I'm happier with Feb 22 too - I'm going to car school on Feb 15 (Is anybody else interested in taking a Winter Driving class with me? If so, PM me and I'll send details - don't want to violate the advertising/sales rules on the forum... although I'm not affiliated with the school, so I don't know if it's against the rules or not).

22nd okay with everone other than Aaron? :)

Edited to add: Correction, I'm taking car school on Feb 1, since they were nice enough to offer an earlier class due to demand. Given the insane amount of snow, the earlier session seemed like a good plan.

Feb 22 is okay with me.
(I think that's the first time I've ever written okay instead of ok. I'm trying to learn from the english major above.)

Hi folks,

So, are we on for the 22nd then?

The 15th is also an option, if people don't want to go on the last weekend of the show (speak up now!).

Where do you want to meet?
Any one heading East-bound 401 want to do a group drive there?

22nd is great for me.

Meeting up at Kitchener (Sportsworld?) is an option since many people seem to be from that area. Also, it's right on my way (I'm so selfish). Otherwise, if more Toronto area people are coming, we can pick a meeting spot closer to them.

I won't be able to go Feb. 15th (taking a Sports First Aid course)
or Feb. 22nd (winter auto slalom in woodstock).

have fun and see you next time,

Okay, show runs from 10:30-6 on the last day.

I'll be leaving Waterloo around 9 to get there for 10:30 -- based on our *ahem* vastly different driving styles, I'd suggest forgoing the group drive and meet there.

Honda is in the MTCC, North Building - 300 Level, so let's meet at the Front Street door (after the ticket check - AKA in the building where it's warm) shortly after 10:30.

Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building
255 Front St. West
Toronto, ON, M5V 3L9

To save time and line ups, I'm getting my tickets online. If you don't have tickets ahead of time, you might want to show up early. One of the eTickets doors is at Front Street, North Building (convenient, eh?).

We can wander about the Honda booth en masse and then decide to split up or carry on as a group, based on what people want to take a closer look at.

If you're coming along, please confirm. That way if you're running late we don't bail before you join the group!
