Hi everybody --

It's time for me to get personalized plates again. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe:

HELLO (my last set of plates)
HI (seems more straight-up happy, less sassy than 'HELLO')
THEY ('cause I'm the biggest They Mights fan ever)
GASFARM (a Twin Peaks reference)
67 HP

I also liked 'D CELLS,' which someone suggested around here....

You seem to like upbeat and friendly messages so how about TOK2ME cause people will ask you lots of questions or MYPART cause you're doing your part or JUSDUIT cause you did it and want to encourage others too. You could try HIGHTEC, HI-TEK, MAXMILE, MAX-MPG, BESTMPG, HYMILER or some variation cause it's true.

The combined horsepower of the gas and electric engines is actually more like 73 horsepower and because of the exceptional torque range performs more like 100 horsepower, so you might not want to use 67 HP, especially if you drive conservatively. Otherwise you might garner a malevolent gesture from time to time.

You could try 3LITRE as an insider joke. Only those in the know would realise you were refering to the 3 litre per 100 kM range possible on the highway.

I like that one!

With refences to the engine, you could use: 998CC
or 3BANGER

COOLHUH is another good one.

SLIPPRY in reference to the Cd.

112MPH just so people know it'll scoot.

GOTPLUG would generate a few questions.

AL7075 would be cool, though I am not sure that the car is made of 7075, but maybe we could find out which alloy it is and use the correct one...(My favorite)

2.6QTS would remind the tech not to overfill it!

1000MLES if you are one of the few that have gotten a 1000 mile tank. (my car came equipped with a 600 mile tank, lol.)

I like COOLHUH and 3BANGER, though it might be misinterpreted. Here are some more.

SMOOOTH, VOLT4ME, MYBRID, VOLTCAR, SIPNZIP, SIPANGO, 4-FRONT, 2-GOOD, GOESFAR, FOLLOME, GO4IT, WENT4IT, 3-PILOT, E-FLYER

If you are an ecology type ECO4ME, GO-ECO, GON-ECO, GET-ECO, LESSGAS

If you're cool IM2COOL, WAYCOOL, GO-COOL, FAR-OUT (60s).

If you're Canadian 2COOL-A.

Don't like tailgaters, OK-PASS, PASS-ME, UR2NEAR, 2-CLOSE.

Want to stress performance while cruising @ 55? GOODZIP, ITGOES2, SCOOTS2, ZIPS-2, MAX-113,

T6061 is tempered aircraft quality aluminum. I believe there are at least 5 types of aluminum used in the Insight body. There is magnesium in the engine area too which is even lighter than aluminum.

This is rather offensive. I hope it is a joke.
Hey, just because I drive a fuel effecient car does not mean anythign other than I drive a fuel effecient car. Besides, I'm not talking about Indiana. I just got my post on invading France deleted, and I am not a fan of getting other people's threads modified or locked, so keep it on topic. You can always PM me if you are in the mood for a healthy discussion.

I like LEENBRN - that's a good one that only a few people would get.

I was really debating between Wildlife Resource Conservation plates (PA has a cool pic of a River Otter on it) or personalized plates. I chose the Resource Conservation plates, 'cause they look so good with my blue Insight.

BTW...My choice for personalized plates for my Insight (since I'm a network engineer) was:

OSI-LYR4

Soo...are there any other geeks out there that can translate this?

Just got my Citrus Yellow 2000 and am happy to put personalized Alternative Fuel Plates on it............. GRN CAR :D
That's too funny! I'm wishing like crazy that I had a yellow one, but they only made 'em for a year.

I don't know what the deal is around here, but a bunch of people at my company have really specific, job-related plates. I might get silly with mine and get JAVAGRL.
