Ah, you went clockwise with the hose. I went the other way, and underneath at about the level of the cat, but I used high-temp SCAT tubing. Just happened to have a piece the right size left after replacing some on the Piper.
Do you worry about the plastic melting close to the cat?

Its a cold air intake. Nowwhere near the cat.
