Has anyone done repair on the plastic body panels? If so, any suggestions on adhesives and such?

The panel under the door on mine has a small crack, about 2" long, and I'd like to stop it before it grows. (I assume it's from the same event that put the couple of dings in the aluminum rear quarter panel.)

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the body panels are ABS - if so, would ordinary ABS pipe cement do the job?

I delt with a crack in an Insight front bumper. It looked like someone curbed it really badly... could have been tapped too. After getting the bumper pulled half way back to gain access to it we ended up using a flexible type body glue. I had a professional at this type of stuff helping me, but he wasn't 100% sure so he called up the Shermin Williams automotive paint store and asked them what to use and they told him so I had to go down and pick it up. I think the thing is you want it to be able to move some, if you glue it stiffly in place it might easily crack again if jared. This stuff went behind the crack and then a more stiff filler material went in the crack itslef to fuse the plastic. You could actually move it would flex the little bit it was supposed to and has held to the best of my knowledge for several months now. I wish I knew the name of the stuff we used. Go to an automotive paint of body shop supply place. They will find you something.

Ohh, and on top of that I used some touch up paint and it's not even noticalbe from 10 feet away. Good luck.
