Anyone have problems getting the trip meter/Dash light+ button to work? Mine has required progrssivley harder pressing to get a change to the point where I cannot clear the maintenance light anymore. I just can't push hard enough for long enough. I could have something to do with the fact that my Insight is up to 244,600 miles! Any idea how to fix it? Everything else is like new.

I don't think high mileage wears out buttons on the dash.
I suspect it's pressing them hard many times

There was one other member that posted with the same problem. The "switch" is internal to the gauge unit. ($$$) AFAI remember he got his done under his Honda care extended warranty. :)

Thats precisely why I did the "Gauge lights peskiness Mod" and posted the how-to on my web pages (see my sig).

HTH! :)

extended warranty

Not sure they'll cover that. I'm 100 miles away from 245k. I'll be breaking that wide open today! I'll check your mod
