Ok, so my dad has the 2000 insight of insanity and we'd like to try getting it running again. As we recall from 2 years ago the engine overheated due to the pump failing, blew the head gasket, and made a general mess. I replaced the head gasket, resurfaced the head, put it all together and lost the little cap that went on the water bleeding drain pipe.

Does anyone know what that part is? I used a vacuum cap for temporary repairs but it disintegrated in the last 2 years of sitting and I need the real proper rubber hose part that is literally just a cap.

Thanks!
Chris

That's it! Ok, I'll re-bleed the system again (whee) when it comes (Mid-may) with the bottle that hangs up way way high to get all the bubbles out. Then we'll see if the engine works, and what can be done about the engine stalling at idle. That's another problem.....

Thank you, stay tuned..
