Hi all. I need to replace the radiator in my UK 2001 Insight. Someone on the sales board recommended shipping from RockAuto in the US. I just wanted to double check that a) There isn't a similarly good UK source for a compatible radiator and b) that the RockAuto radiators will definitely fit a UK Insight.

One person said he thought that the Honda Jazz uses the same radiator, but it's proving difficult to confirm.

This forum is the place I most trust for genuine Insight knowledge (along with a few friendly experts I've met offline who have helped me in the past, who are undoubtedly also on here!)

Thanks for any advice.

@ALJF Please see this post before ordering:

TL;DR: apparently the APDI doesn't fit and Rock Auto hasn't corrected their system. I have no personal experience with any of them, but based upon the above post, you may want to order the OSC brand.

I wouldn't be surprised if RockAuto just had the wrong part on the shelf that they messed up with. They're the cheapest site around, but man do they mess up a lot or buy products that seem to be like seconds or something. I've ordered Felpro valve cover gaskets for a V6, not opened or anything, so you'd assume it would be good. Inside Felpro box was two left bank gaskets, like uh? What? I've ordered brake calipers that came without the necessary hardware to make them work, like pins and clips to hold the pads in and one of the pins that was included was too short to work. I've ordered a body clip for an accord and then when it arrived was some other random clip. In all instances Rock Auto made it right, either reimbursing me or sending me the right part.

I say that because looking at the APDI part number it looks like the correct part and other sites that sell the radiator list it for the 1G Insight. So assume it was some funky stuff on rockauto's end and not actually that APDI was selling the wrong item.

Also if buying from rock auto always use the 5% discount code, it's always available, just have to google it. You insert the code in the location of "How did you hear us"

Quick note, ADPI/Pro 8012745 radiator comes with fittings for the AT cooler lines. You can still install this radiator on a MT, just remove the fittings from the radiator to make installation a little easier.

The inner transmission fluid cooler is self contained in the radiator shell, so nothing will leak out of the openings.
