Hey everyone,
For some reason my front squirters and wipers work great, but my rear won't even make the noise of squirting and I can't get the wiper to budge.

Anyone have any ideas?
(I just bought it used, 2002 manual) And unfortunately the Insight manual didn't come with it )

I have had this problem lots.

Once, for months it never worked, then all of a sudden it started to work.

I don't know what the flaw is, but it seems a common occurence. I have never found a specific reason. it stops working, then it starts, then it stops. Bah.

If you could hear the pump wizzing when you work the knob, look for washer fliud dripping under the car where the little hose is loose. Like mine, for example, leaked inside the right front wheelwell. Pull off the plastic liner to get access to where the washer hoses run. Your case seems like blown fuse or disconnected wiring.

It aslo seems to be a common thing that the owners manual always gets lost between owners.

Also ckeck fuse

The under dash fuse - relay box (the driver's side) is where your rear wiper fuse , number 26, is located. Since nothing works on that circuit, I'd check there for starters. It's the second from the right end on the bottom row.

Rear window washer fluid - doesn't squirt

I can hear the rear washer pump running but get no fluid. Any common areas where the hose gets pinched? Also, is it possible that the hose will come loose in the roof at the squirter and show up as "wet seat belts"? Lsat time it rained they were both wet, but that is also when I tried to use the rear window washer....

Check that you have water at the rear tube with the nozzle disconected. Nozzle clogging is the primary culprit.
Wet seatbelts are mostly pillar trim / rear quarter window issue, but the rear nozzle could be an issue if it is somehow disconnected.

A fine wire run throught the bore is how I clean mine. No need to drop the headliner

Have you ever figured out your problem?

My 2000 insight doesn't squirt anything out of the rear and I can hear the pump running. I don't think the rear squirter ever worked since I bought the car like 5 years ago.

I used a very fine wire and poked it in the squirter hole, tried it a few days in a row, tried the squirters for a number of days, then it started working. Inever disassembled anything.
