UK prices.

In UK it's rapidly approaching £1.00/$2.00 per litre for unleaded at the minute

1 US gallon = 3.78L or $7.56 Gallon at UK prices
1 UK gallon = 4.54L or £4.54 UK Gallon

Gas Prices

Don't know about diesel, but in Charleston SC, I paid $2.87 for unleaded regular today. The bad news is that people now consider that a bargin price. Scary. I still remember paying 22.9 cents a gallon as a high school student in the late '60's.

Here in the Poconos of NE Pennsylvania $2.99 a Gallon if you pay cahs.

Was down in Warminster the other day and saw only one (1) gas station with the same price as above. All others were between $3.05 and 3.15 a gallon.

winner so far

I guess I'm the "winner" so far. Regular unleaded Chevron at $3.51 in San Ramon, California (down from $3.55 last week).

(San Ramon is a subburb east of San Francisco)

But it all seems to makes sense, this station is right near Chevron's corporate headquarters. Let those buggers pay!

That's not too bad. If you subtract the $4.50 taxes you have to pay, that would be $3.16 a [U.S.] gallon..... about the same price Americans pay.

I'm glad the U.S./Canada only has ~50 cent tax [per U.S. gallon].

"As a national average, the provincial tax rates on gasoline are about 14.5 cents per litre." "At the federal level, the excise tax on gasoline is 10 cents per litre"

24.4 cents per litre would only be ~90 cents per (U.S.) gallon.
A little higher than the U.S. average but not by much.
(And certainly nowhere near the $4.50-5.00 taxes in Europe.)
