Hey y'all!

I have a 2020 Insight EX and of course as soon as I hit 60,000 miles and my warranty expires, my car starts acting up. I noticed that when my car goes from the battery to the engine turning on, it shakes pretty badly. I dont have any codes coming up and nothing is knocking. Just know the normal feel of my vehicle and this is not it! Anyone else having this issue?

That's because when the engine is switched on due to a low IMA battery, there is a heck of a load put on the engine as it has to not only propel the vehicle but also high charge the IMA battery. IMHO

Do you notice this while in motion or while stopped? The engine stars differently depending on whether you're moving or not.

Totally get that... but it just recently started doing it this rough. Wouldn't it have been like this from the start if what youre saying is the case?

I finally fixed the same issue on my 2019 Touring... after changing spark plugs, coils, wires, cleaning the throttle body, new air filter, fully charged 12V battery it turned out to be..... drumroll please..... valves! I didn't have any clacking noise like you said, but turns out some were quite loose and some were too tight.
They just needed to be adjusted. I started having this issue around the 60k mile mark but now at 90+k since having my valves adjusted I haven't had a single hiccup... even in the now-colder weather... worth a shot if you ask me!

This was actually super helpful I already replaced the 12v and the spark plugs. Before I go much further, ill check out the valves! Thanks so much!

So glad it helped... I've seen quite a few threads on here for the same or similar reasons, and wondering if this car just has an issue with the valves... I'm just getting ready to pass the 99k mark and started to notice ever so slightly the issue might be trying to come back. But it just seems VERY odd to me to have a 15-30k mile valve adjustment interval to keep everything operating smoothly. Maybe an eventual recall will happen if enough people get it reported...... but doubtful about that
