Hope this isn't too redundant, but I found a lot of posts about sweet spot of speed, not so much RPM. I keep up with traffic and mind my RPMs more than I do speed, found that has always been my best was to save on gas in a non-hybrid. But is there a sweet spot for RPM for CITY driving to obtain optimum mpg?

In the city it is more about driving style, rather than rpm. No rapid acc. Watch the lights way ahead of where you are at. Coasting to a stop. Etc.
After all it is a cvt so the rpm will be different than if you were driving a manual.
Don't LOAD the engine.

CVT sorts out RPM for you. You can do 100 kp/h @2000 rpm or @4000 rpm. It's the load that changes "gear" more than the speed.
Go and use the electric support for accel, accel briskly to desired speed then coast. Drive looking ahead. Keep momentum. Use regen for braking, when possible.
