Be aware of respondents, public and in Conversations, who have low post counts or you do not recognize as a regular forum member. Account age is not a good metric; some let an account age before using them. A common gambit is to direct a potential buyer to someone off forum via email or phone.
If you suspect a scammer, just raise it to the moderators - anyone can do this by clicking the the vertical dots on the top right of a post. If you are uncertain about a new user, the moderators have tools to help make that determination.
InsightCentral is actively monitored by scammers. perhaps by the same scammers who have been successful in the past exploiting the trusting nature of members who want to be helpful and give new members the benefit of the doubt. "Trust, but verify". And read up on the different kind of scams out there before posting For Sale or Want To Buy ads, or responding to them.
