I just got a 2006 Insight last week for myself. My daughter recently got her license and is looking for a cheap car. A 2010 Insight just went up for sale local. 106k miles. Are there any major concerns? Don’t have a lot of time to research. Going to look at it soon

Ok... well you’re too late to talk me out of it. So that’s a new gen1 and now a gen2 in the same week! Did as much reading up on the gen2 as I could before buying it. There were tons of ppl interested. So anyway... no bad news please. Lol

Issues happened with the 2012 & 2013 models. Excessive oil consumption and fouled spark plugs.
At 106k, that 2010 is due for 8 expensive spark plugs. We waited, because of expense to about 120k with no issues, but that was years ago. We put on miles much faster. The engine has a timing chain, so the only belt is a drive belt. Check its condition.

I’ve a 2012 and so far so good but aim to get rid of her next year as am afraid of the excessive oil problem etc , there’s always that worrying nightie in the back of the mind each time I check the oil level whereas my 2910 insight was problem free
