I thought the southern tip of Texas was the southernmost point of mainland U.S. :?:

Yeah, the marker in Key West, FL is the southernmost point in the continental US. But I may have beat you there already. I had my Insight there on 3-12-2003, on my long trip all the way from the state of WA. Billy.......

Sorry i was in key west with my insight last november....

there is a lot of people from florida in this forum i see.

I was in Key West a few years ago (not with my Insight though). Very nice place, and a very eco friendly place too. I hear now the thing is to have a NEV (neighborhood electric vehicle) there. Can anyone confirm that? I would like to rent one if my family and I ever go back, as they've hinted at.

They are running all over down there. Mopeds too. They are easily rentable. Probably the only thing that gets better mileage than the insight. Wonder if anyone ever did a weight to mileage ratio comparison to a moped vs Insight??? :p

Dunno about the moped, but my 95 Honda VLX 600 got between 30-60 mpg depending on my driving style. If I remember correctly it had a dry weight of around 400 lbs.

No matter how you cook the books, the Insight is still better.
