So where do we go online for replacement parts anymore? I see that "hparts" has become something other than it was when I last ordered a replacement mirror. Fred Kaluza Michigan (2000 Red 3500 miles and and 2000 Citrus 36,000 miles)

Well, I've used these guys for salvaged parts with good luck:

http://www.haprecycling.com/

Although one of our members bought a battery pack from them and it didn't last very long unfortunately. Other items might not classify under the sits around and dies category like the battery would.

Another option is Majestic Honda parts:

And again, another one of our members ordered from them and ended up with nothing but problems with parts being smashed durring shipping and then problems getting a refund. I've never used them, but their site is nice for getting an idea of what a part will cost.

Thanks for the response Rick. Well, after some more Internet digging, I wound up ordering one in the correct color from a place in Delaware I think. At about $180 it was not cheap. I ordered one for my other Insight a few years ago and it was only $140. I think it's coming right from an authorized Honda dealership. Next question. What about the Husco armrests that were all the buzz a couple years back? It looks like Husco is belly up although I sent them an email asking if they had any unsold stock laying around. Is anyone aware of other substitute armrests?

Some people here have suggested this item. At least one person said they had installed one and liked it.
I have one on order now, even though I'm a bit skeptical about how it'll mount. If it works though, it'll
be great to have both an elbow rest AND a storage console.

Devin, please let me know how you like it. From the looks of the bracket, it doesn't seem like it will be real sturdy moving side-to-side unless you count on the actual seats to prevent excessive motion. "It just seems kind of flimsy". Hey, I could be wrong depending on the gauge of the metal used. Then again, it's only an armrest so perhaps I shouldn't expect too much. The add says it's adjustable front to rear. I hope that means it slides fore & aft even after the base bracket is mounted. I guess we'll just have to try and mount it high enough to match the rest heights on the doors. Beggers can't be choosers! If you like it, I will probably get a couple also. Fred
