I got a spare tire from a 2016-2017 Civic and the jack/wrench from a 2018 civic. The tray that came with the jack fit fine in the Insight. No need to shell out $55 for the Honda Insight specific tray, FYI.

I called a local wrecking yard and they are getting me a 2016-2018 Civic temporary spare and jack. I'll feel better on my 100-mile round-trip to work once I have it.

Thanks for the tip. I was wondering if the tray would fit.

I picked up my 2016 Civic spare tire, jack kit and tray yesterday. The spare fits the Insight perfectly, and the tools and tray fit the trunk perfectly as well. Total cost for everything was $120. Would suggest you go this route vs. buying the kit from Honda (whenever it becomes available). The spare I got looked brand new. Thanks to all for the advice on getting a proper spare tire for the 2019 Insight.

I finally got around to taking photos of the spare setup from a '16 Civic. Tire, jack, tools and foam holder fit the Insight perfectly.
