My 2002 Insight has started to creak and groan a little more. I hear it at slower speeds when I go over smooth bumps - not the quick kind. It sounds like a creaky sound from the front area. (I usually just turn up the radio.) Anything I should grease or tighten?

yeah, it seems to happen this time of year. I think if you drop the rear suspension and apply some grease on the contact points, that'll probably take care of it. My '00 only creaks spring and maybe fall - the rest of the year it's just fine.

I hope to get under the car in the next couple of weeks - if I figure out what it needs to stop the noise, I'll let you know.

Thanks. Keep me informed if you find anything. I'm not the type to just 'drop the rear suspension', but at least if I know what it is, I can tell someone else what to do.

Has anyone figured out what is causing the 'low speed' front end creak sound?

My sound is not really a *creak* like and old door, but more like a *ka-chucka, ka-chucka* sound that is muffled but sounds tinny every time I drive over a bump.

I leaning toward suspension but cannot replicate the sound when the car is parked. I wonder if the front shocks might be the culprit in some way.

Any ideas or similar experiences?
