Once in a while, after a significant uphill climb, my wife catches a whiff of sulphur in my Insight's passenger compartment ("smells like poop," she says). Once in a great while, I smell it, too, but she's the one with the more sensitive nose.

It sounds like it's coming from the catalytic converter. It doesn't happen often. I think it occurred maybe three times during a recent 3,000-mile round trip.

Is this anything to be concerned about? The car has performed beautifully otherwise.

sure...blame the car when you let one rip!!! You are so sneaky. :roll:

seriously though....check for exhaust leaks just to be ultra careful, but the real car guys on this site will have a good answer.

I just couldn't resist that first line.....
