Hi ikhoudvanu199 and welcome to the forums :!: :)

Nice to have a new enthusiastic Insight owner in our midst :!: :)

There's already a lot of information in the Modifications & Techincal issues forum on the upgrade stereo / speaker issues. Please spend a bit of time reviewing the first few pages there for all the recent related information.

And there are the basics on the Owners, Knowledge Base and Encyclopedia pages. Links on the top right of every page :!:

HTH! :)

00-03 came from factory with 2 front cone speakers. (6 1/2") 04 and later came with I believe a CD changer and front and rear (6 1/2") speakers. I installed the rear speakers on my 02, very easy to do.....

One in each door. Optional rear speakers behind the seats.

Speakers are a worthwhile upgrade. I just replaced my front speakers with Polk Audio db651s. Pretty much a drop in replacement. No cutting required. I documented the install here:

I put a good set of front Component speakers and moved the front speakers into the back. I left the carpet there, but cut out the foam so the speaker could "move" underneath the carpet. This gave a bit of bass to the rear of the car for nill extra cash.

I put Infinity Kappa 2-ways (6 1/2) in all 4 locations. Sounds great. The addition of sound deadener (Raamat) helped a lot as well.
