Starting to think about taking the winter wheels/snow tires off, and putting the original wheels/tires back on. Since this will be my first spring with the car, it will be my first time doing it myself.

Does anyone happen to know the torque spec for the lug nuts?

Lug nuts are 80 ft. lbs. I believe..................

I'll probably give it another month or so -- in fact, we'll get at least one snow storm in April (we do every year, and everyone is always surprised). But it never hurts to plan ahead.

Just north of Boston - close to Armin, I suspect. It's 45 degrees F today, but it will be in the single digits tonight. We'll get snow again before winter's over.

But this is the first car I've had in more than a decade that isn't either 4WD or AWD. After learning to hate the LRR Bridgestones during our first snowfall, I invested in true snow tires and a set of CRX rims I found on ebay. So now, for the first time since I've owned a car, I'll be swapping wheels/tires twice a year. I bought a new torque wrench on ebay last night, and picked up a floor jack at Sears today ($25 for a jack and two stands; normally $50 - seemed like a good deal).

Okay, I admit it. Half the fun of getting a new vehicle is having an excuse to invest in new tools.

___Wadsworth is about half way between Milwaukee, WI. and Chicago, IL. on the IL./WI. border. About 7 miles off the big lake … Snow on the side streets of course but out on I94/294/I55, they are usually well taken care of so not much snow to worry about … Now that I said that, look out!
