Hi all,

I recently traded in my Insight for an '07 Mustang. Yeah, I know... it's not very fuel effecient, but it's super fun and very comfortable. I didn't think i would ever trade-in my Insight but since I'm now working for a Ford dealership I should at least be driving what I'm selling.

I got $8300 for it in trade-in value. That's way more then what I had left on the loan. Four days after putting it on the lot to sell, a very nice gentleman bought it for $11,500. My friends have seen it driving around their neighborhood. They were like "What's Steve doing over here... Oh wait that's not him?" They were kind of confused until they found out the Insight sold. My Insight is very distinct, hence the confusion.

Thanks for the great ride. This forum has been super helpful and fun to be a part of. :D

Well if you were going to trade it now would be the time. 11500 for a 114K Insight is a lot more than a used one sold for previously. In fact I remember in 2001 seeing ones with less than 10K miles going for 10K (Honda buybacks). Have fun, Rick
