I know I am not the only person here who got a used insight. Mine happens to be a certified used honda. When I bought it, my insight had 9k miles and over a year left on the warrenty. I was told that becasue it was a certified used honda my factory warrenty would be extended 12mos. or 12k miles beyond the standard 3yr/36k.
In my case I will uses the miles before the time. one year and change later, I take my insight in to have the passenger window regulator repaired under warrenty with 41k miles. THey call back and say it is not under warrenty, that the warrenty was 12mos/12k miles from purchase date.
I kindly thanked the survice guy who is not understanding what I am saying, and said I would deal with the window later. I called honda customer relations. I asked them. They gave me the run around for a while, and then said that they would call and give the OK for the dealership to replace the regulator under warrenty. But he was not specific as to me being right or the dealership.
Has anyone else encoundered this? I called another dealership and asked the hypithetical..., and they confirmed that the certified deal, just tacks on to the end of the regular warrenty. Anyone else had these issues?
