I just recently bought this car with 240K on it and adjusted the valves, I noticed that while rotating the engine over to get TDC that only the left intake valve (as you look at the engine) were being pushed down by the cam? The right intake valves don't appear to have a cam roller, being new to this car how are the right intake valves actuated?

The other valve does get pushed down only very slightly in normal operating conditions to introduce a swirl in the combustion chamber for better MPG. When more power is needed under acceleration, at ~2700 RPM the second valve starts to operate normally.

This is part of the VTEC process.....The Insight uses VTEC-E ....

Thanks for the info

That helps alot, I knew it was some how related to RPM but just by looking at the top of the engine couldn't figure it out.
