How about these:

IGO ECO2 (hybrids not being a novelty here)
LOPETRL
SULEV4U
1STHYBD
HYBRD42 (playing on the two-seater theme, also works for childfree couples)
ZPYHYBD
CLNRCAR
CLN CAR
600ATNK
IGET70
HERHYBD
HISHYBD
MIHYBRD
YOGOECO

I haven't found the perfect one for myself yet...maybe next year.

What a funny topic, I like it. Here in KY I usually see unintelligable vanity plates... some of my ideas:
SIP GAS
ELECTIV
BIG MPG
ITHINK4U
SUV RIP
LOW GAS
2CoolCO2 (if anyone has 8 letter state.. not sure)
POD LUV

lol. Hope someone finds them mildly entertaining.

Hey ext1jdh, how about using GASELECTRIC, I know that lady's green insight that lives down the street by me said that when I saw her at the McDonallds Drive-Thru yesterday

It was not that long but that was what it said, something like GASELEC.

Finding an Insight

Regarding getting an Insight to put a plate on...Dealernet.com is very helpful. You can also phone a dealer who doesn't have one and ask him/her to get on the computer and check all the dealerships in the state or surrounding states to see who has one. Be careful -- in California, if ou register an out-of-state car, they charge you a mint. In August/September, the closest Insight to me (Santa Monica) was in Texas. I paid $650 for shipping, but had a dealer here sell it to me, thus making it a California car.

Great topic.

I'm leaning toward getting SIPPIN for obvious reasons.

If Kerry would have won the election I was going to get KERRYON.

I have to say GOT GAS and FUTURE are money.

jnjmead, are you an Insight owner? I was in Vegas about a month ago and saw a prius with the license plate that read tree hugger in some form. It may have been spelled differently though.

Mizr is back!!!!!!!!! Yes went to DMV today and transfered My old plates from the original GASMIZR (silver 2000 5spd) to the new GASMIZR (blue 2001 CVT). Which I know isnt a good thing as the CVT is only averaging me 51.2MPG with lifetime of 44.6 right now but climbing. This was My wifes Insight but we traded my 2000 in on her a 2005 Prius.
