This is a follow-up to "IMA light on". After my sweetie took her car into the dealer it resulted in a $195 dealer for producing the same scanner results which I had, but they found no problems with the car except that perhaps the rear ventilation ducts forward and aft may have been blocked and it created a thermal problem which triggered the dash lights. Apparently resetting the lights resulted in a full return to service. They told her to drive it and see if the lights came back on and she lost electical assist. If they did come on, they suggested a $2800 bill(parts only) to replace the Major components minus the battery pack. I'be since purchased the service manual and electrics trouble shooting manual.

Anytime something goes wrong with the IMA make sure you check the 12 volt battery. A bad 12 volt battery can cause the IMA to get confused.

perhaps the original poster could "repost by the cut and paste method" in the correct area and then a moderator could delete the incorrect area post.

That's close to what would have to happen. A moderator could do the same thing but the amount of work involved for the benefit recieved is small in this case.
