good day. after reading the posts on how to spot a weak battery, i put my insight to the test - at least through tests i could undertsand. although it seems to have passed, i'm a little concerned that the car doesn't get enough zing from 1st to 2nd gear - not that i drive it hard - i was just hoping for a little more jump as i worked through the progressions. the car is a 2003 and only has 30,000+ miles. it's also a honda certified pre-owned purchased recently. don't have much experience driving insights. is this normal or should i be lifted out my seat from 1st to 2nd? thanks.

The Insight has very tall gears and it only makes 73 HP at 5800 RPM.
If you need power to get out of a risky situation (and the engine is already fully warmed up) rev past 5000 RPM before shifting to the next gear.
