I scored some 165/65R14 Nokian snows, but don't wanna swap them on to the original Insight alloys. Will 14" Honda Civic steelies work with 1. my car and 2. the tyres?

1) most likely, it's best to try and 14" steel civic rims is exactly what i'm planning on intalling on my insight for winter tires.

2) YES, Insight rims are 5.5" wide and that's common for most 14" alloy and steel rims. And all 165/65/R14 tires fit on 14" X 5.5" rims.

your going to lose alot in MPG. Any other rim will be heavier.
Volk does make a 14x5.5 rim that super light but they cost about 300 each.

Steel rims $45 Canadian.
Extra set of ultra light alloy rims $500+ Canadian.
I think it will take more then 20 years of driving to make up the extra cost of the lighter weight rims by saving gas money.
