when I went out to shovel my car after the blizzard we had here in NJ the snow pack on my insight had been really wildly formed by the winds. I think it's a good approximation of how the winds go over the car in a windtunnel, though obviously I can't confirm which direction the winds were going, or how fast, etc.

here's a pretty crummy camera-phone picture. To clarify the no-flash-at-night situation, I sketched the line of the snow pack in red and the approximate line of the insight body in yellow. the coolest part was the snow overhang off of the back of the car, and how it tucked in again as you approached the ground!

with the 26 inches of snow and the drifting, my car was nearly covered up except for the top and back (funny scour). My mom told me a couple of horror stories about guys on her campus grounds crew can-opening some cars after a big storm. Yikes!
