Edit 3/12/2017: thanks everyone, I found someone near Little Rock Arkansas who was selling one, I happen to be going by there for work and pick it up from him.

Original post: Walked into the parking lot and the back upper glass on the hatch was completely cracked. It had separated from the hatch itself along each edge. Priced out a new one from dealer with is $950! Satellite quoted me $1350 for replacement. Trying to get other options on the table.

It is a G1 2002 CVT sebring silver, in Denton, Tx.

Anyone got a parts car with good back windshield?

Well, I'm going to be in Houston week after next. That's halfway there from where I'm at. That unit is not per chance Sebring silver is it?

I don't know. I thought the hatch was just black. The bumpers and doors they're selling are all silver though.

Years ago on a hot day my 15 year old Ford station wagon rear window exploded while it was parked across the street from me. No one was nearby and it was otherwise a very quiet street. I heard it explode and ran out to see glass falling, but no obvious cause.

In this photo from my spoiler removal and repair instructions, I was taking a picture of the damage to the spoiler, but now I see an area of the glass where there isn't a seal. And to be honest, I think it was like that when I bought the car. Is this going to explode one day?
