Well my brother had to put his 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse into the shop for some minor repairs under warranty. Overall it's been a great car. I followed him down to the dealership in my Insight but got there slightly ahead of him due to traffic lights and such. Anyway, I pull into the mitsubishi dealership and park in the customer parking lot waiting for my brother to arrive and bring the eclipse into the service department. I get out of my car and a sales rep, one of a few standing outside, came toward me and asked if I was looking for a car. I said "No thanks, I just picked up this hybrid and it gets 55mpg" and he was like "55 miles per gallon?" and I responded "yes, it's half gas half electric".
So he came up and checked out my car, which I thought was funny. Then he walked away and I asked what he thought and he said "hold on" and he went into the dealership/lobby/main area and came back out with 3 other sales reps. They all took a look at my car and asked the standard questions and liked the digital dash when I turned it on, etc.
I just thought it was funny to have 4 Mitsubishi Sales reps interested in a Honda, at the Mitsbushi dealership no less. hehe. I should have said, when asked if I was looking for a car, "if you have one that gets 55mpg I'll take a look" but didn't think of it at the time.
