Sticky out thing on the side windows?

Does anyone have the remotest idea what the small black triangular sticking out bit on the front side windows is for? I cannot believe Honda compromised the aerodynamics in such a way just to provide the window with some sort of guide for the glass to locate in.....especially as no self respecting owner would open the windows while travelling along anyway!

I think that it is a small guide to insure the glass goes back in the track when you close the window all of the way. The rear portion of the window does not need one because it is always in the track.

joecvt you got it exactly but the reason it had to be put there in the first place is down to high speed aero problems.
This is a low pressure area from the outside as the air comes around and off the windshield. At high max speeds this pulls a partially open window out slightly and prevents it from hitting the grove to seat home.
The added device guides the glass home. :)

Bingo....I'm not sure if you use that expression in the UK but you are absolutely correct ;)
