Tried searching, no luck.
I am looking at a used 2000 5sp. Owner (2nd last 2.5 years) does not believe the IMA battery or BCM module has been changed and at least not on her watch. Warranty still has at least a year.
What are the symptoms? When taken in to the dealer to complain of low mileage (50 mpg!), dealer advised that the local gas has 10% ethanol (true) and everything checked out.
Is there a way to check the IMA and BCM without dealer intervention? I certainly don't want to be stuck having to do this on my own. Anything to look for on the test drive on the IMA/BCM issue? TIA
